With club administration becoming more complex a variety of courses are provided to help all clubmen and women run their clubs more efficiently. Even if you are an experienced Clubman or woman, you can bring yourself up to date with all the new legislation.

DAY AND EVENING LECTURES

A lecture of about an hour followed by a question and answer session takes place periodically in every Branch. A Branch selects a lecture and a topic on a Union activity. Posters are dispatched to all clubs in the area and interested club members inform their Branch Secretary of their intention to be present.

Topics include:

  • Employment Law, Suspensions and Expulsions, Financial Control,
  • Future of the Union, Stock Taking, Betting, Gaming and Lotteries,
  • Health and Safety, Food Hygiene Regulations, Licensing Act, Club
  • Administration, Club Rules, Club Insurance, Club Banking, Meetings,
  • Brewery Loans and Discounts, Open Forums.

Students that have attended these courses have remarked how useful they have been. Meeting delegates from other clubs who have experienced similar problems and sharing ideas has been of great benefit.
